Lynnette Well it was pretty early in the day to start drinking.....naw not really! Lyn was behind the bar almost like she normally was but looking a bit fancier in that dress that Iris had made her. Sighing softly she would just pour herself a glass of whiskey. Chuck? Well he was by the door sweeping up and being pretty productive. Leaning on the counter she would take a deep breath and just shook her head a bit. "....well.....another day....." Chuckling she would look to Chuck with a smile. "Should we attempt another party here? Or naw?" Chuck just shot her a look as if she was nuts.
Iris Lark Iris makes her way into the bar then, stepping past Chuck and waving to him in a friendly manner. She spots Lyn and with a grin makes her way to the bar to take a seat. "Hello you, how are you doing today?" She rests both elbows on the wooden surface and then grins. "Can I have a glass of water and maybe something bread-like to nibble on, or else I might ruin Chuck's nice clean floor with vomit." She wrinkles her nose and shrugs. "I came to see how you were doing and how the place was looking."
Lynnette Lyn would wave at her and smiled brightly. "Sure!" Fixing her a glass of water she'd call out Chuck. "Hey can you go grab some bread for Iris, Chuck....with no sass...." Snickering, she'd wink at the man as he just walked off to the kitchen. Lyn would look to Iris and nodded. "I'm alright. But how are you doing?" Sliding her that glass of water towards her she would smile. "And please....don't vomit on the floor....we just cleaned them."
Iris Lark Sass huh? Iris glances timidly towards Chuck, her eyes slightly wide as she gives him another friendly wave. Best to make nice with the bartender too huh? Iris turns to smile at Lyn, her face bright and happy. "I'm doing okay, just feeling kind of raunchy in the tummy area this morning." She takes a drink and lets out a sigh. "Not something I'm enjoying if we're being honest." She crosses her legs and leans on the bar. "I came by to see how things were going with you and to chat. You know...it's boring in Acme right now."
Lynnette She'd smile and then give her a sad face. "I'm sorry. You'll be fine....hopefully it doesn't last long...." Chuck would come back with a small plate of bread then. "Thank you, Chuck...." She'd giggle a bit as he just went back to sweeping the floor. "Man....I think he loves me...and hates me." Laughing she would then looked to her. "And it's boring? Hmm. Well welcome to the fun town....well....fun in it's own way."
Iris Lark "funtown!" Iris chirps, pulling apart some bread to snack on. "Do you ever have any bands who come and play here?" She asks, glancing around a bit, sending another smile in Chuck's direction. "Because that would be really neat if you did, honestly." She takes another bite of bread. "Though I imagine that people get pretty rowdy in here, and it would have to be pretty carefully handled." She grins at Lynnette. "Also...this is good bread, did you make this?"
Lynnette "Bands? No." Blinking she would look to the jukebox and then smiled. "I don't really know of any bands to be honest." Lyn would sip at her whiskey then and nodded. "So if you know of any....point them my way! It might be fun! I'll make Devlin do security...." Lyn put her hands up then, shaking her head. "Heck naw. That's all Chuck. I'm not...really a cook."
Iris Lark Iris takes another sip of her drink and lets out a small sigh of contentment. "Well this bread is perfect, don't let Chuck get away." She leans back a bit and tilts her head to the side. "Where did you find Chuck anyway, because I'm still looking for someone to mind the store at times, and hell if anyone has volunteered. If he has any friends that are looking for a job.." She trails off and glances towards Chuck, grinning. "Really! If you know anyone, let me know!"
Lynnette Laughing she would shake her head. "He was already here. Hell he hired me on first before I bought this place. No one was really....owning it." Letting out a yawn she would then sigh a bit as she nodded. Looking to Chuck she would grin. "And if you do....and they're good looking? Definitely send them my way!!" Lyn looked back over to her woman and nodded. "I"ll try and keep an ear out too. Or heck...maybe I'll come by and help you out some too."
Iris Lark "It's super boring, most of the time people don't come in!" Iris responds and she slumps a bit, rocking from side to side. "That's why I'm here, bread and water and ..mostly the company." She raises her glass in a toast to Lyn and winks at her. "To Lynnette, the lady with a bar ...close to home. I can walk here." She deadpans, and then she sets down her water and resumes her lean against the bar. "So anything you need that I might be able to help you with?"
Lynnette "So? I can catch up on some reading." Lyn would just poke at Iris then before sighing a bit. "Oh girl stop. I'm just trying to find my little patch in this hell whole called life. I'm just luck to have great people in my life...." Raising her whiskey she'd then sip and eyed her. "Ooooh nooo. You sit right there. You've done plenty. Made me this great dress....and maybe that other thing...." Chuckling she would nod. "I'd wear that other thing if I go help Alpha with something but he might like the outfit a bit too much....."
Iris Lark "Well..I mean, if you're ever really bored, just let me know and I'll make a point to invite you over for some quiet time." Iris responds, reaching for her glass to take a sip of water. She glances in the vague direction of Acme and shrugs. "It would involve babysitting the animals as well..Bacon gets into trouble in the store if you don't mind him. He tends to pull things from the bottom shelves and hide them. How weird is that?" She asks, gigling softly before she picks up another piece of bread and bites into it. "Oh this is so good, I should have brought some soup."
Lynnette "Noted. I just may do that. I haven't been by for dinner in a hot minute. Maybe I'll drag Alpha by." She'd wink at her playfully and then nodded as she smiled. "That's fine. I can practice babysitting....." There was a smirk as she chuckled. "And maybe...he thinks he's a dog?" A tilt of her head as she sighed softly. "If you ever bring soup by....and make a bunch....I"ll pay you for it and we can sell it as a special...."
Iris Lark Iris laughs nervously at the mention of dragging Alpha to dinner. "I think I've only met him once, he's pretty scary isn't he?" She asks, her voice quiet as she leans in towards Lynnette. She fidgets with the bread piece, ripping in into two smaller pieces. "I'll make you anything you want, how about I bring some soup by for you tomorrow? Something kind of spicy?" She eats one of the pieces of bread. "I could do with something spicy, a little bit of cheese ...mmm maybe chili."
Kaydin     Kaydin enters the bar and looks to Lynn and iris, making his way over to her. "Nice place in a bad part of town." Kaydin says, his voice slightly modified by the helmet's radio. The red lenses hides his eyes from the people as he watches them.
Lynnette "I was sure you've met him more than once....." A tilt of her head as she seemed to be in thought. "Um....well we'll have to fix that." Grinning she would wink at her again. "And oh god yes! Spicy chili would be amazing! But I want that just for us! Everybody else can wait...." Taking a deep breath she would look to the newcomer, her brow raising. "Well hello...." Lyn would glance to Iris then back to the man. "I mean...the whole town is bad....but....thanks. I put a lot of work into this place."
Iris Lark "No, I'm fairly certain that I haven't." Iris retorts, sticking her tongue out at Lynnette before she gets to her feet and walks towards the jukebox. She looks throught he music available when Kaydin walks in and she waves at him. "This place is..fairly safe, lots of really large and scary men in here." She sees some music that she wants and pushes the button, bouncing on the balls of her feet as music fills the bar.
Victoria Not too long after Kaydin makes his entrance, another individual comes in. Victoria sweeps off her baseball cap, bangs smushed against her forehead partially sweeping over her right eye which is blackened, her lips cracked with a healing wound, another fading bruise on the outer corner of the right side of her lip. The hat gets smacked against her thigh to rid it of dust, dark brown eyes adjusting to the light change as she ambles up to the bar. Iris catches her eye, a familiar face which causes Vic to curve a half smile, "Hey, small world." Low whiskied voice cracks a little, her gaze sweeping from the jukebox area to the bar which she leans up on, hat set up beside an elbow. Politely she waits.
Lynnette She'd chuckle a bit and nodded. "Then we'll definitely have to rectify that...." Sighing a bit then as the music came on, she would just shake her head. "It's okay....they know not to act up in here...." Lyn was standing behind the bar as she sipped her own drink. Chuck would just keep up his daily duties....sweeping up the bar's floor then. Looking to Victoria she would finally wave with a bright smile. "Hey there! Just let me know if you need anything! Menu's up there on the wall but let me know if you have any questions."
Kaydin     Kaydin moves to take his helmet off and looks to Lynnette. "Got any Nuka cola?" Kaydin says as he watches the woman before turning to Iris. "So you and Miss Lark are friends?" He asks curiously as he looks around.
Iris Lark Iris glances at Lynnette and then nods. "We've been friends for a while, we help each other out and stuff." She moves back towards the bar, the music blaring now. "Oooh cola. Can I have a cola too, Lynn?"
Victoria "Brilliant." Victoria will murmur to Lyn, lopsided smile on her lips as she studies the menu, nail embedded fingertips gently thrumming on that new looking bartop, "What do you have for food, today?" Her chin will tilt down a little as gaze levels on Lyn, the others conversation not interrupted, "And non-boozy drinks?"
Lynnette Looking to the group she'd smile a bit. "Well.....water....I made lemonade today....and I have some cola." As she said the she was already grabbing Iris and Kaydin each a cola. "Food...well my partner in crime Chuck made sandwiches and some roasted....something..." She'd trail off a bit as she giggled a bit. Reaching those two colas to Iris and Kaydin she'd smile a bit. "And yeah...Iris and I have known each other for a bit. She's probably one of my best friends...."
Kaydin     Kaydin takes the cola and sips it. He then looks to Lynnette. "So how long have you lived in Jack's town?" He asks curiously as he watches the woman, studying her before looking to the other woman. he sips his cola once more.
Iris Lark Iris takes her cola and takes a big swig before she sets it down on the bar with a *thunk*. She picks up another piece of bread and nibbles at it. Two of the old grizzled raiders who frequent the bar make their way up to sit near the pretty ladies who are just piling up in the bar today. One of the bearded men gestures to the jukebox and then to Iris. "Wanna dance darlin?" He grins and his teeth can be seen through his beard, and they're surprisingly white. "Uhm, I'm not much of a dancer, I'll just step all over you and then have to doctor you to apologize." She mumbles, shaking her head back and forth.
Victoria "Roasted something sounds good." Vic will state as she slides onto a seat and settles in, ankles crossing, head turning to take in everyone as they speak, "And lemonade, please." Added in as an afterthought, Vic tucking one hand against her face as she leans into the bar with her elbow. Politely, and maybe creepy-like, listening to the convo. Like watching the interaction between Iris and the old man, "You have the craziest, whitest teeth I have ever seen. What in the holy hells do you do to 'em?" Asked of the old dude, maybe parlaying the old man away from Iris who doesn't seem interested, "You bake 'em in the sun?"
Lynnette "Umm....." Tapping her chin she would seem to be in thought then nodded. "I don't know....six months or so...." Lyn would shrug a bit. "I lost track to be honest. When I took over this place I've just been busy since...." Smiling she would look to Chuck then and called out. "Hey dear...mind grabbing some of that roasted....whatever." The man would just grumble before making his way to the kitchen. "Pleeeeaaaassse and thank you." Giggling she'd go to grabbing a pitcher and poured Victoria some lemonade then. Humming she'd pass it over to her and nodded a bit. Looking to the Raider, she'd stare at him intently then slowly raised her brow before grinning. "Oh come on....you barely dance yourself. You proved that when you tried to dance with me."
Kaydin     "I dont dance much. Not a good dancer." Kaydin says as he watches the various women. "So whats the plan for thanksgiving? Finding a turkey will be difficult in this day and age." He says with a nod.
Iris Lark Iris watches as the raider gets back to his feet and swaggers towards Victoria. "I clean em Missy. Just as you're meant to." He boasts, a proud look on his slightly craggy face. Iris breathes out a sigh of relief and goes back to her bread pieces, nibbling at them as she watches the interactions with wide eyes. She grins at Lynnette when she makes her joke and the Raider, surprisingly, laughs too. Seems he's just a big jolly man who wants to have some fun. Goodie! "Have you been finding everything okay?" Iris asks, smiling at Victoria as she does so. "I remember when I first got here, everything seemed so..spread out and hard to find."
Victoria ;'s lopsided smile widens as the old man speaks to her, "You don't just /clean/ them, you have to do something else. Some sonic toothbrush doo-dad?" Inquired as she reaches for her glass of lemonade with her free hand, giving it a slow swirl around before sipping at it. With Lyn's joke she'll let out a sputtering laugh, lowering the lemonade from her lips as she guffaws at the old raider, giving her glass a wiggle at him, "You got called out, friend." Grinning impishly she'll glance down at her pip boy, frown soon creasing her lips, "Honestly, I'm, on a daily basis, trying not to crap my pants at things out here. I'm from a -" Pause, "Place. And it was a lot more close knit - hey, do you mind-" This to Lyn specifically, "Can I get the food to go? I've got a meeting I need to literally run to, like ..a plastic cup is fine. I can gnaw and go." Her lemonade gets sucked back as she begins sliding off her stool, a glance given to her hat. Can't forget that.

Lynnette Lyn would just wink at the big raider and then sighed a bit. "Dude she has a point....." At that she would call out to the kitchen. "Chuck dear! Can you wrap that food up for the road!" Hearing a clang she'd laugh before looking to them. "I think he's secretly I love with me." Laughing harder she would then look to Victoria. "Done. And....I feel you. I grew up in El Dorado but left for a bit. Then I came back here to Jack's Town. A lot has changed so I was a bit lost too. But you get used to it. Hell I still get lost you know...." Picking up a plastic cup she would then put more lemonade in it and slid it over to her. "For the road."
Iris Lark Iris glances towards the kitchen and she jumps when the clang is heard. "Oh..that doesn't sound good." But then she settles and takes another sip of her cola, her crossed legs swinging back and forth idly. "I've finally gotten used the surroundings, but man..I'm kinda wanting to go out on an adventure, you know, hike somewhere and find some trouble."
