Kendar Kendar was once again, one of the only people hanging around in the medbay. Honestly, he didn't really know what else to do. He did periodically went out into the wasteland, kinda like his father, but most of his days were spent here. In the medbay. Least there's a radio with classic pre-war tunes playing.
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino stumbles into the medbay, clutching his side and limping heavily. A sigh of relief sounds through his helmet at the sight of a doctor on duty. He opens up his power armor and stumbles out hitting the floor, obviously bloody and very injured.
Kendar Kendar will probably never get used to the sight of people in power armor stumbling into the medbay and falling onto the floor. "Jesus bloody Christ!" He reacts practically instantly, dropping whatever he was doing and running towards Astaroth. Crouching near him, he attempts to help him up to his feet, letting him use himself for leverage if needed. "Certainly not the first time this happened to me, but probably your reaction is the most extreme. As in smacking the floor extreme." He said.
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino lets out a low gravely chuckle, wincing in pain as his large chest flutters from the half laugh. "I was not feeling so bad...until the adrenaline wore off." He looks up at the doctor with a hopeful expression worn upon his large face. "Quantum Brood Mother bit me pretty bad, tossed me around like a rag doll, power armor and all."
Kendar "C'mon let's get ya up, soldier." He said with a playful tone as he started leading him towards one of the emergency cots placed in the main room. "Anything else other then the pain? Got any broken ribs, concussions perhaps?"
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino groans as he makes his way to his feet, following the doctor to a cot and falls into it as softly as he can since his large size would likely break it if he crashed into it too hard. "Could be I have a cuncussion as well, forgot that before all that I got into a bar fight as well, took a bottle to the dome. Was a busy night last night. Took five of us to take down that damned overgrown molerat though."
Kendar "Overgrown molerat?" Kendar mused. "That's a new one." He shook his head. "No matter, stay here for a bit." With that he, quickly went off into the back and returned with a large doctor's bag. Returning to where Astaroth is lying, Kendar started taking out some gauze and a bottle of alcohol and setting it nearby. Then he started examining Astaroth wounds, mentally noting down every single one he finds.
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino gives a slight nod of his large square head "She was a brood mother, highly mutated and twice the size of a Yaoi Guai. Twice as vicious too." He begins to muse silently, lost in a memory for a moment before slowly returning to reality as you return to the room. "Was a job a group of us picked up. Helping some folks getting a Nuka Cola plant up and running again. No job is easy I suppose. But when you livelyhood is guarding others, you tend to take alot of lumps and bruises."
Kendar "Everyone has a part to play." Kendar points out. "Well you're in luck." He says, as he finishes examining Astaroth wounds. "No real lasting injuries on you, worst you have is a couple of bad bruises here and there. If what your saying is true, you are lucky to be in this condition." He cracks a small smile. "Guess they picked the right person for the job." He grabs the gauze, soaks it in alcohol and begins cleaning some of the smaller wounds, the alcohol having a stinging effect that probably feels a tad bit uncomfortable.
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino chuckles at the doctor's comments, stopping to wince as the alcohol touches his wounds. Letting out a slight groan here and there shows his discomfort, but he is rather greatful for the medical attention so he tries his best not to complain. Amid the doctors work he comments, "I may not be the best, but if there is one thing I know it is how to step in front of a punch. My face was built to be hit heh."
Kendar "I'd personally prefer dodging it, but to each their own." Kendar noted, grabbing a new gauze, soaking it in alcohol and proceeded to continue cleaning the wounds. "Plus it's kinda my job to fix these kinda things, so I'd be jobless if not for you lads." Finishing up the cleaning process, he quickly double checked the wounds. Nodding to himself, he put the gauze in a nearby bin and took out a few bandages.
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino says, "Thats the smart way about it, I cannot deny. I suppose that is why you are the doctor and I am the canned meat." He chuckles a bit more happily, feeling a bit better as clean his wounds. "Have you been a doctor here long? You sure seem to know what you are doing, I highly doubt I am your first patient."
Kendar "I've been a doctor... for almost a year now." Kendar answered, as he began bandaging some of his wounds. "Well an unofficial doctor, I was taught by my mother on how to handle injuries. I started taking my work seriously in the Alamo Citadel, I kinda was the one to set up the medbay there." He released a small sigh. "Bad stuff happened in Alamo. A lot of good people died that day. Thank god we managed to win though." He looked towards Astaroth. "So, no you're definitely not my first patient."
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino responds with a bit of grief in his voice "I think someone might have mentioned that, was it the supermutants? Exactly why I have devoted my life to protecting people and ridding the wasteland of all sorts of abominations, God knows there is enough to keep me a busy man. I am glad you made though, and are here to help others still."
Kendar "Supermutants, normal mutants, Centipedes, you name it. Ended up detonating a nerve nuke at the end, took out a bunch of 'em." Kendar told Astaroth. "And believe me there's a lot to do around here, you just gotta find the right place for it. And sometimes the right people." Kendar finished up with the bandaging and did another triple-check on Astaroth to make sure he didn't miss anything. "And believe me, the sole reason I made it is because, I was kinda in the back lines. Not a real front line fighter, but I am getting better." He noted. "One of these days maybe I'll be good enough to go out with some of you lads."
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino comments, "Well there is no shame in that, it would be insane to throw a doctor on the front lines. We all have our place. I would gladly offer you my protection anytime in the future if you should find yourself on the battlefield once more. Trust me there is never too many doctors in a place like this, and we need all the help we can get. Perhaps me more than most, I am not quite the strongest. I can take a punch, but not the deadliest person around by any stretch of the imagination." He grins for a moment before continuing, "So give it to me straight doctor, am I gonna live?"
Kendar Kendar let's out a small chuckle. "Oh believe me, I saw a guy who was shot from 15 different directions, had a hole in his hand, his kneecaps were completely shattered from blunt objects and he pulled through just fine." He looked up at Astaroth. "So yeah, you'll live. Probably." He added as an after thought. "Joking aside, you'll be good as new, just gotta give your body some rest." Kendar started packing the medical supplies back into the doctor's bag. "Remember, if you got any more health complications, you'll usually find me here."
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino leans up to sit on the cot, stretching his limbs and testing them out. "Wow, I feel a helluva lot better doc, I really appreciate your help. Anything I can do to repay you?"
Kendar "Keep making sure, everyone else doesn't get real badly hurt, and I'll consider it a debt repaid." Kendar told him. "Now off ya go, there's a puddle of blood where you fell down, so don't slip on it." He said in a joking manner, as he finished packing the medical supplies.
Astaroth Paladino Astaroth Paladino chuckles and nods his large head as rises to his feet once more, heading towards the shell of his power armor. He enters the large hulk of power armor and shuts it closed before giving Kendar a sharp salute and heads for the door.
