Iris Lark Iris seems tired, and still wounded, but she's up and about and working. Achilles sits nearby and Iris is treating his injuries from when they found aliens in Roswell. After a few minutes of silence and work, she speaks up. "Where is it the worst at?"
Achilles "Where they shot through my shoulder." Achilles says, watching Iris work. A large arm wraps delicately around the little doctor's waist and the giant leans in to kiss her firmly on the lips. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to keep you safe. I'll be there next time."
Iris Lark "I'll be okay, if I have to be." Iris murmurs, returning the kiss before she moves to take a look at Achilles shoulder. "Just hold still, going to give you a few stitches and the like." She pulls the needle from her kit and makes sure it's secure. Climbing up on the table she begins to sew quickly, her slender hands steady.
Achilles "Of course you have to be." Achilles says, eyes closing as Iris begins the stitching. "If something were to happen to you, I'd be very upset. Love is like that." He exhales through his nose, but doesn't show any other signs of discomfort. Oddly enough most of the smaller wounds have already closed up entirely. The big man seems to heal quickly.
Iris Lark Iris doesn't comment, she simply continues to work, finding silence easier when she's stitching on someones skin. She reaches for salve to spread on the sewn up wound and applies a bandage. She begins to put her tools away and tilts her head as she regards Achilles. "How does that feel?"
Achilles "Bearable." Achilles gives his shoulder a small roll, making sure everything is still alright. "How about you?" He extends a large hand towards Iris. "You look like you could use a long nap."
Iris Lark "I could use a nap, and I need to see another doctor. I'm going to have to make that a priority today." Iris says, pulling at the bandages on her abdomen. "If I can't manage it, I'll need to stay around the clinic today. I'm far too injured to be out and about like I have been."
Achilles "Unless something major comes up, I'll be here with you." After a moment Achilles lowers his hand and sighs softly. Uncertainty wasn't a feeling the man was used to. "I'm sorry I've been out so often, I've never settled in one place for too long. I don't care much for the walls and the noise. I especially don't care for being treated like some disposable plaything by the wealthy within the city. But I don't mind it so much as long as I'm with you here."
Iris Lark Iris smiles up at Achilles and nods, resting a hand on his shoulder. "I understand the need to get away from the walls. I don't have great memories about.." She sighs and shakes her head. "Just be safe, no matter what you do, okay?"
Achilles "Of course." Achilles rests his hand on Iris' smaller one. "I've gotta come back home to you, don't I?" He flashes a warm smile and leans forward to kiss the little doctor once more.
Iris Lark "Yes, you do. That's important." Iris says, reaching up to pat Achilles gently on the cheek. "I've got a few things to see to, will you be around?" She asks, tilting her head slightly to the side, a smile curving her lips upward.
Achilles "I will. You'll be the first to know if I have to go anywhere." Achilles pushes up to his feet and gives Iris a squeeze. "Let me know if you need me for anything."
