Sparrow It's quiet. The group had been called out, now that Hondo's problems had been tended, now that they'd finally cleaned out the pipes below the Nuka Cola Plant.

Down within the core, where the Spring and the Caverns are the group is lead. Past the whirring pumps and vats, down into a 'security access' hall which is really just a 6 foot pipe with a door in it suspended above the ceiling about twnty feet. Why? Who knows, everyone who designe the factories are long, long dead.

Up the rusting and slightly loose ladder the three men are encouraged to climb. Sparrow waits patiently at the bottom and scrambles up after all three of them.

THe door code has been figured out, at least, but there are warnings of a 'security system' and 'no authorized personel' on the door. The door will open into a small reiving area with a security door and cross-hatched metal walls.

Thankfully they know one direction continues towards the plant itself so they're sending themselves deeper underground in the winding tunnels.

Why does a Nuka Cola Plant even need security tunnels?
Kang     Kang the Barbarian has been called into service, or rather, he was told that someone would give him food and such if he joined in some sort of fight, possibly. It was all rather vague, but it doesn't take much to lead the barbarian to the Nuka Cola plant, and so he finds himself walking along with the others through the tunnels, remarking, "The worms that dug these tunnels must have been huge," as he goes, and occasionally reaches out to pat his large hands against the walls of the tunnel curiously. "Do they still linger here? They would make for a mighty battle," he says to the only one he knows, sort of, Guardian Caldwell.
Stockton Stockton is confused and lost when he's underground as it is. He always blamed it on his raising and never having to breathe the recycled air of the vaults. Shrinking as much as he's able to, the Marshal is following in behind the barbarian out of a comic book. He'd heard the story of the aliens, witnessed the ship crashing in New Mexico - well half of it at least - he was still wary of the throw-backs that had come with it. "While there are some big ol' worms out in th' wastes...ain't worms that built this...men did this." He gives Kang another wry look and flickers back to the rear of the group to check on the blonde cowgirl that doesn't say much.
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell was here because he was promised nuka cola if he could get the plant running. So he's here! Armed with a laser rifle and a minigun both kept snuggly fitted onto his power armor he makes his way through the tunnels. "I don't think worms dug these tunnels, big fella. But if they did, you can probably fight em." he continues moving around after climbing the ladder, keeping his minigun at the ready in case of BAD PEOPLE
Sparrow Sparrow is still taking up the rear. Quiet as a lamb. Nevermind the amusement on her face about the Tribal Marshall, massive Wasteland Barbarian and poor poor Guardian Caldwell being the heros of this place. Considering the tunnel is such tight quaters. The walls are so smooth and cold, and they ring when anything metal bounces off them. It'stwo old world football fields in length into the dark tunnel. The emergency lights fade from red to nothingness at about a hundred and twenty feet leaving half again as much until they'll get to the first twist. Thankfully they are equipped though the shadows close in on them as the air gets staler.
Kang     "Men can build like this? Sorcery," Kang mutters quietly and looks impressed, but he doesn't doubt it. He has seen many things in the past week since he awakened to find others in the metal flying fortress of the sorcerers. That men could build these things does not seem the least bit impossible, just incredible. Holding his axe in his hand, he follows along and wriggles his nose as he lifts it to catch a scent. "It has been time since others were here, I think, it is like a cave that no bats live in. Too," he pauses to think of the word, "Like a hut that an elder has lived in for too long without company. Full of stillness."
Stockton Stockton snickers a lil bit, "Everythin's gonna look like sorcery, my good man," he pauses long enough to pat Kang on the shoulder and give him a meaninful look. "I don't envy your adjustment period," then a sharp, toothy smile and he's moving along. One hand lifts up to flick a switch in his helmet and the whine of those night vision goggles kicks in and the feral man continues along. No need to carry Kindness and Generosity around, he keeps his hands free to react. "Hopefully this is jus' routine clean out, an we don' need to put down another pack of glowin' ones."
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell sighs to himself, gingerly running his hand over his minigun to make sure its in superb condition. Once it's confirmed that it is in good condition, he looks around the area through his infared visor, letting his eyes scan for heat signatures around the area of the tunnels and hopefully not spotting anything.
Sparrow The tunnel branches off three directions. Each seems the same dank, dark, empty.. No scent of anything moving or moved since a time long past. There are signs that read caution, and other such ominous things but it doesn't really give anyone a feel for direction. One assumes a long time ago there was a way of navigating these weird tunnels. and it's anyone's guess as to the right way. Sparrow seems inclined not to go with the group and as others pick tunnels to check Stockton finds that the lefthand Tunnel has a footlong faded red arrow painted on the fading metal.
Stockton Stockton clears his throat from the left hand tunnel, running a gloved hand over the painted arrow and wiping away some of the dust and crud that's built up over it. "This...maybe this means go this way," he grunts and points down the tunnel in the direction of the arrow. "Better guess than guessin' in the dark," he shrugs a broad shoulder and starts heading down that tunnel, still pulling tracking and lookout duty - just from the front.
Kang     While Stockton is showing them the way, Kang is finding a screw. A seven inch long screw in pristine condition, almost as if it were freshly chromed, and unused in any manner. It has managed to go un-rusted and unmolested, and picking it up, he admires it and holds it in his fist like he intends to stab someone by punching them while holding it. "A sneaky weapon for up close," he remarks to himself. He looks to the arrow then and says, "It means that there are arrows for bows, that way," he says, as if he'd seen it before and had assumed they had no need for arrows, since their magic weapons don't seem to use arrows.
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell nods to Stockton and lifts his minigun up, moving towards the area Stockton had pointed out and readying his minigun, moving with the same military prowess a standard Brotherhood Of Steel member would.
Sparrow Sparrow is following after, she's lucky and shorter than her three companions. Kang? Barely ducks in time but Stockton and Caldwell fail to see the low hanging light and like total derps walk into it. Thankfully they have helmets but the crash of metal on metal happens and echos disorientingly in all the directions there are, off into the dark. Creaks and clangs in the darkness followed by a few strange clicks in the distance. A distinct whirring and a few seconds later the whirring fades ...
Stockton Stockton doesn't wince, but he certainly seems to flinch at the loud noise as it rings out from his graphite armor makes solid contact. "Shit," is all he says and then he starts creeping a bit more, hunching lower to stop bashing himself into things. Razza frazza, I was drawn this way! "Guns out, might be trouble coming."
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell tries very slightly to be stealthy, he tries he honestly does! But that's difficult in power armor. But he tries all the same, so he tiptoes along after slinging his minigun on his back and carrying it as one would any other piece of high tech gear. Efficiently and with purpose!
Kang     Looking back at the others, Kang shakes his head and then continues forward, thinking himself particularly stealthy now. That is why he feels like saying, "You are too loud," a bit too loudly, his voice echoing down the tunnels. His axe swinging up from his side, he bounces it in his hands and then continues on.
Sparrow Unfourtunately for Kang this is not the typical enviroment he's used to and he's unable to keep himself from making a bit of noise and the whirring starts up again.
Stockton Stockton hisses a little as he hears the familiar tickticktick of turrets warming up and tracking on people. "Get down," he barks at Kang, shoving him away before drawing out both guns and firing off several shots. The barks and flashes are going to be unpleasant for a few moments and anything alive will know they're there. But at this point the Marshal is content that no one is riddled with holes via auto-guns. For now.
Kang     Standing up again beside Stockton, Kang declares, "Your lightning magic is powerful," and continues along, wiggling his fingers in his earholes.
Sparrow It huurts, the lights the bullets ricocheting off the walls and leaving pings and pangs. The scent of gunpowder clings to the air and Sparrow has dropped to hide. Sparrow and Stockton see a small door that was protected by the turrets off two tunnels that branch off in a T. Sparrow squirms between the men and moves to check the door and finds it is, at least, unlocked. Small blessings. She opens the door and finds a small console inside, giving the tiny closet sized room a green glow. "Caldwell? You any good with computers?"
Stockton Stockton blinks slowly. He is no good with computers unless the solution is to simply put another hole in it. And they certainly aren't looking to Kang to help hack any security consoles. So he glances to Caldwell after the ringing in his ears ceases - though the fully enclosed helmet helped, surely.
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell nods to Sparrow, moving towards the console and beginning to tap away at it, hoping to hack into the console and do whatever Sparrow needs me to do "Just shut off the turrets, yeah? Easy enough. Anything else you want done?" he asks, clicky clacking of keys going at super speeds as caldwell moves his fingers across the keyboard
Kang     "Why do you not ask Kang? I am good with many things," Kang says to Sparrow, his eyes narrowing slightly. As if this omission of asking him, and the master of lightning magic were some sort of slight. "But, what is a computer, I do not know if I am good at it," he mentions, after a few moments of intense scrutiny.
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell continues clacking away on the machine before a whirr of machinery is heard and lights slowly begin flickering on. Caldwell turns and looks to the group. "Lights are on, turrets are off. Theres also some data that i'd be interested in once we've cleared this place out. We'll save that for later though I suppose." he says, turning the PC off and signing out so nobody could take the info from him
Stockton Stockton coughs once and tries to figure out how best to explain it. "Um. Well. Lot's happened since you last set foot on solid ground, my friend. This is what we call technology, science...unless you understand binary that is." Caldwell has the magic touch which leves Stock smiling and pointing towards the armored fellow, "See? S'jus' some things we leave tah brainy folks. Some stuff we take care of," seeing as he doesn't view himself as a lightning wizard.
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell looks over and motions to the right off the line "That tunnels collapsed by the by. Don't bother going that way. We might wanna either turn left or find some other way around. Dunno if it's been fixed or not though."
Sparrow Sparrow has been listening and looks down the way Caldwell points and nods. "Guess that leaves one direction to go. I'd rather not try a possibly collapsed tunnel that might've been that way for a few hundred years." She admits and gestures for the other three to go ahead. The Doc will follow and heal when she needs too.

THey start along. Moving through Areas A, B and C are much the same. Careful, now, that they know to duck and move quietly and carefully.

Every so often Kang or Stockton have something happen. A foot goes through a grate, a rusted part of the pipe gives out and scratches them. But at least one of them seems to pick the right direction to go.

They've twisted and turned and come down to an open area that looks like a Labratory. Long unused and most of the machinery and equipment is aged beyond repair. But the weird thing are the rows of cages on the walls.

A lot have skeletons in them.

A few are massive.

Some have broken open doors.

THere's an elevator down here, much like there was in the spring room but this one seems different.

There is a glowing console screen for Hacking. But prior to that, something strange sounds from what appears to be a ripped out portion of wall hat has been dug out by creatures..

"MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Stockton That loud echoing and angry moo was something that Stockton's nightmares will be made of for weeks to come. What terror lies in wait for them. Or is it coming for them now. Either way, the Marshal pulls out his guns and makes ready for the incoming threat of beef. "Take cover!" he shouts as the thing starts barelling towards them.

Sparrow As the massive beast lumbers and lows, he's huge, some 10 foot of warped wicked muscle and two thick neacked Brahmin heads that sprout from his slouders. Black shiny horns just miss Sparrow who is so taken off gaurd with a yelp that she's grabbed up and given a good squeezing that takes her breath away.

THe arms seeking out Stockton miss completely.
Kang     Kang runs over, and seeing how apparently capable the beast is at fighting, he laughs and throws a quick cut at it, "Stupid animal, Kang will slay you quick!" and then cuts it once with a quick slice of his bizarre alien-technology infused axe, the follow up attack is apparently nimbly avoided. So he just continues to throw cuts to keep the creature in check. His axe weaving between him and the sorcerous beast.
Sparrow Sparrow squirms, gritting her teeth and with the combined help of attacks she is able to get herself free of the tight squeeze she's been put in, struggling to breathe. Once she's freed herself she coughs and gags before scrambling trying to find her way under or behind some equipment.
Stockton Stockton startles when the beast runs straight for him, but he manages to scoot out of the way in the nick of time just avoiding the thing grabbing him with one of those huge arms. "Shit, Sparrow!" He calls as she's snagged, right before he starts unloading both magazines into the thick hide of the creature. Blood flows and spurts from the wounds but still it moos in fury and defies the Marshal's desire for it to just fall over and die.
Sparrow This much beef in this little space is dangerous. Sparrow had gotten away but one of his four arms swings and grabs her by her ankle dragging her back towards him. She shreas. A Head each goes for Kang and Caldwell as an arm reaches for the Power Armored Knight again.

Another loud low rattles chests and pounds into eardrums.
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell fires lasery pew pews of death into the minotaur, allowing Kang to finish it off and then going to look around the area for some way to get the plant started once more, his suit dealing with any radiation coming his way. Hopefully there were no more minotaurs around!
Stockton Stockton is known for his gunslinging skills and he proves it right here and now as they punish the monster for existing in the first place. The terrible mutant creature finally shows off its vulnerable flank and the wild man unloads another pair of magazines worth of ammunition into the thick hide. This time all of the large calibre rounds find soft spots, vital organs and other fun places to land and splash into. When the smoke of his guns clears the might Nukataur groans out its death gnell before falling like a chopped tree into the dirt and gravel of the floor.
Kang     Hacking the nukataur a few times after it is felled by the ferocious sorcery of Stockton, Kang proclaims victory by hacking the head off the creature and holding it up in the air in triumph. "We have conquered this foul beast with sorcery and the might of Kang! We will be remembered in ballads for a thousand years!" he says to them all as he carries the head with him, using a bit of twine to secure it to his back, he looks to the others expectantly. "Stockton!" he says, looking to the marshal, he adds, "Your sorcery was most impressive."
Sparrow The Minotaur is dead, brackish blood pooling on the ground and Sparrow peels the massive paw off her ankle panting and looking around while wincing and grabbing her ribs. "I remember this from last time. Someone needs to hack the system to get the elevator up.." She points and then struggles to her feet. "What the hell was that thing?"
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell moves towards the elevator and opens up a control panel, beginning to slice into it with his AMAZING technology skills and trying to get it to run again "I'd rather we didn't fight another of those things, please watch my back while I get this thing operational." he says as sparks begin to fly from tinkering with wires
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell nods and gets the lights and elevator to run, a gentle hum as the elevator starts up and the doors gently open up, bowing to his comrades . "Welp. That's done." he says, smiling. "Got some info on how to get the more..deeper parts of the plants running, i'm sure I could share it with the nuka plant workers once we get back. Or just do it myself if we make it there." he says, slinging his laser rifle on his back. "Soo uhh..who's entering this old thing first?"
Stockton Stockton sighs and reloads his guns while he waits for Caldwell to do his do to the you know who. Well stick his wires into that recipticle. You know what. Caldwell easy opened that shit alright? I said it. Adjusting one broad shoulder he steps into the elevator carefully. One boot at a time listening to the mechanics above him as he settles his weight into it. "I don' like it. But we can do it."
Sparrow Sparrow looks towards Mr. Caldwell and her brows lift as he hcks the console quite expertly. She moves over to a wall to lean on it and clutches her side panting as she looks around. She's still trying to decide what to do but the lights flicker on and the elevator whirrs to live leaving the group with an escape, at least, that is not back through the maze they had to navigate to enter.
Kang     Turning his head, Kang looks over his shoulder at where the head hangs across the back of his scavenged NCR Duster, a strange garment with his loin-cloth and everything. Staring at it, he answers the question, "It is a bull-man, clearly, I have never battled them before, but I have heard tell of their wars on the far eastern lands, beyond the K'vel mountains," he tells Sparrow and walks over to look at the sorcery boxes as Caldwell, the iron golem, begins to mess with them. "What will your sorcery make happen?" he asks.
Guardian Caldwell Caldwell smiles and points to the elevator "I gave the metal box life. Now get on board it, Kang." he says, hopping onto the elevator and waiting for Kang to get on before waiting for Sparrow to get them on their way
Sparrow Sparrow nods, "Yeah, let the should have this plant to themselves. I don't even want to know how that thing got down here..or why." She rolls on her feet before slipping into the Elevator itself.. "Let's get the fuck out of this place." The cowgirl breathes roughly.
Kang     The big barbarian nods his head at this explanation and looks at the dungeon that has been opened. "I do not like these small boxes of sorcery, they remind me of the cold ones aboard the flying metal fortress," he tells the others with a twist to his upper lip as he joins the others. Looking at Sparrow, he nods his head at her.
Stockton Stockton covers their entrance in case there's another minotaur of some sort. Reloading and holstering his weapons only once the elevator doors close again. "So we got ridda the mess makers, we send someone out to get ridda the mess and start up some pumps, we should be good?"
Sparrow "Usually, that's handled by the locals. Like they did before." She coughs and winces. Once they're p to the main level there's some easy look around to be done before they each head up towards the Nuka Cola Plant and the open store where the Mayor in all his Nuka gear and Red Rocket Leather jacket greets them and gives them aheros welcome.

"Thank you all kindly, thank you indeed. I can't wait to see what we can do with this place!"

And thus the heros have won against the Nukacola Labrynth.
