Iris Lark Iris is propped up on an examination table, her leg in a cast. She looks a bit pale and drawn as she's been working nearly around the clock to try to get others back on their feet quickly. She starts to doze off when she hears the door open, so her eyes flicker open to see who has come.
Kurokumo Mibojin      A quick little knock follows the opening door, Kurokumo walking in without a care. If someone is stupid enough to be caught with their pants down in the clinic, then she's not at fault. "Iris?" Her dark eyes look the other Doctor over, before becoming firmly acquainted with her cast. "When did this happen?" Wandering over, she winces at her obviously weakened dispotion as she grabs a tray of tools to bear.
Iris Lark "A few days ago." Iris responds, bringing a shoulder up to shrug. "They casted it, and tried to get the bones where they need to be, but I think more work needs to be done." She wrinkles her nose and sighs. "It hurts, quite a bit."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Kurokumo takes in a breath, and lets it out. She gives a single nod, steadying herself in case the bone needs to be reset. Hopefully, that won't be necessary. "Let's take a look..." Out comes the heavy duty sheers, being set with arm's reach as Iris's leg is examined. "How did you break it?"
Iris Lark "A man in a suit kicked it and shattered it." Iris responds, her hands picking at a loose thread on her apron. "Then to make sure I really knew my place, they shot it with a laser." She takes a breath and shakes her head. "I don't even remember being carried home."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Kurokumo winces, her dark eyes daring to look up into Iris' own. Folks don't usually talk like that, of being put into their place, unless... She lets it slide, finally grasping the cutting shears and sliding it gently under the edge of the cast. Cutting it away, the fellow Doctor runs gentle fingers over the extremity to feel for the position of the bones hiding under the skin.
Iris Lark Iris meets Kurokumo's eyes, and she holds the gaze for a few moments. She doesn't look ashamed, in fact she has a slight smile on her face. "I think the bones are set correctly, for the most part, but I think I might always have a bit of a limp after this." She leans back with a sigh. "The muscle might be torn though, and I'm not a very big fan of surgery that I'm not performing."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Kurokumo scoffs quietly, the sentiment not lost on her as Iris expresses her concerns. Who can you trust more than yourself? "Well, it's either I can take a shot at it, and lessen the limp in the long run, or you can chance it yourself. Choice is yours." Despite her confident demeanor in her own abilities, she gives a weak shrug as far as Iris' options are concerned.
Iris Lark "I trust you." Iris replies, and she tries to give the other woman a reassuring smile, but it comes out more as a grimace. "Just do what you need to do, and I promise not to squirm too much while you're doing it. Or backseat doctor." She does manage a slight smile now. "I know just how annoying that last bit is."
