Kurokumo Mibojin      Ever since the great clash with the unstable Enclave AI and the giant metal robotic gattling scorpion, Kurokumo has been having a hard time sleeping. Couple that with an increasing appetite, and she finds herself in all sorts of odd places while contemplating new foods and her thoughts. She's eating now, her face withdrawn from lack of sleep.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya enters and a dust storm seems to come at her heels. She shuts the door against it but the winds still howl outside like a dirge for the world that was. The strange woman crosses toward the bar, her bulging eyes are a bit disconcerting as her staff taps on the floor. She leans it against the bar and claims a stool. "Anything but Iguana," she says quietly."
Kurokumo Mibojin      The Asian woman turns her head, the dust storm something that must have started up fairly recently. Guess she's going to have to wait a while before going home. Watching as one of the robotic wait staff hurries off to fill the other woman's order, Kurokumo eyes the woman curiously. "Welcome to El Dorado." Is her muttered reply, her voice thick with sleep. It's all the courtesy the Doctor can muster for now.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya closes her eyes and bows her head in your direction. With them closed she almost looks normal for a second. This passes quickly. "Thankyou stranger. I come at the behest of Atom. I have seen a shrine in white sand that will be restored to his worship. Shreya is my name."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Kurokumo raises a brow at the proclamation, blinking as she tries to figure out if she fell asleep in her breakfast after all. "I'm Kurokumo. I work as a Doctor at the Shantytown Medical Clinic." She can play along, considering it was her efforts to be polite that roped her into -continuing- to be polite. Her dead mother would frown on her otherwise. "What kind of shrine is it?"
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya says, "I cannot know but it is metal I think for the reflection of the sun shining off of it was blinding. I will know when I see it. I have come a very long way from a city called Megaton. I am close. The white sand only exists here." She pauses... "Kurokumo. You bare a strong resemblance to the Communists. I wonder." She stares at you."
Kurokumo Mibojin      There a narrowing of eyes, mouth turning slightly into a frown as Kurokumo turns back to her food. Someone doesn't like being called a Communist, it seems. "My mother was of Japanese descent, not Chinese. I know, we all start to look the same." The would be follower of Atom is odd, her mannuerisms lending fact that her musing is one of honest curiousity instead of any real bigotry. "So...you follow your dreams?"
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya nods as her eyes widen. "But not just dreams, VISIONS FROM ATOM!" Her food comes interrupting her evangelizinf as she thanks the server for the radchicken and rice. Turning back to you she goes on. "I believe you. Too much I have seen to lose faith. The shrine is close. My steps keep taking me to Roswell but coming back here every night is wasting time. I must carve out a place there for now among the forsaken."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Someone is a bit enthusiastic about their visions. Well, at least Shreya believes her about her descent. Most days, she has to deal with slack-jawed yokels who tell her otherwise. "That is quite a long walk. Um, what kinds of services would you offer?" The only real religious structures in town is the church with it's own air conditioning, since her own family's practices are much more private.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya chuckles. "The Children do not offer services unless it be an invitation to enlightenment. We have another purpose. To spread His truth to the wasteland. But... you are here for food and not a sermon. Forgive me."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Yeah...not touching that one. Kurokumo has seen her share of strangeness under the boot-heel of Raiders and other groups driven by lust, greed, or other depraved acts. Shreya seems friendly enough. "It's alright. I did ask. Well, if you ever need to get patched up, go south to Shantytown and we can get you patched up. Lots of Deathclaws on the way to Roswell." A type of beast that everyone can agree is a menace.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya shakes her head. "If I run afoul of a deathclaw I dont think it will let me live I...." She sighs as this seems to strike a chord for some reason. "I will come to see you if I am not dead."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Tilting her head curiously, Kurokumo notices the tone of resignation. What has Shreya been through? "We have a good community here, with several Doctors. Folks look after each other here." There's a soft smile, as compassion is a language almost everyone can speak.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya nods. "Sorry, my parents...they died that way. It was a long time past. The deathclaw is a beast controlled by hunger. I cant blame the beasts."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Kurokumo winces, now realizing the nerve that she struck with her warning. "I'm sorry to hear that." Her eating utensils still, as she gives a moment of silence to honor those lost for Shreya. Of course, this leads the Asian woman to dwell upon her own loss over two years ago, and it's still fairly fresh.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya smiles. "How could you know? But anyone alive in this dark time has lost someone. Dont let it eat at you. If you ever need to talk, I will listen."
Kurokumo Mibojin      "Thank you." What Shreya offers is a kindness, something that most aren't willing to share because of their own pain. Kurokumo smiles softly, nodding before focusing on the meal that has gotten away from her.
