Qwillis     Qwillis who was recently back in town may of got more than a few people to talk about him. The mechanical hand on the right side and the mechanical leg on the left certainly got a few stairs. They were basic. Enough to work and that's about it. But it's what he had, it seems. Having just recently had some food, Qwillis is actually doing a bit better now, taking more time to look over shops and wares to see what else he can use for surviving on his own.
Carter Griffin The Ranger had been getting very lucky in his scavenging the wasteland lately, to the point where he had again set up shop in the market, several items from a simple crowbar to a massive anti material rifle sitting on his table. Carter has his feet up and is playing around with the Pip-Boy on his arm
Qwillis     Qwillis slows as he'd look at the table by the Ranger. He nods respectfully to the man as he'd study the items. "I have a lot of respect for the Rangers.. I wouldn't of made it back to here without their help.. Uhm.. Unfortunately, with the loss of my home here, I'm a bit out of sorts. Is there something you have.. on the cheap?"
Carter Griffin "What happened to your home?" He asks, spotting the mechanical limbs but not saying anything about them, because that's not really something he figures folks would talk about unless they wanted to, "Actually yeah." He says, as he reaches under the table and pulls out a heavy peice of metal fashioned into a chestplate/
Qwillis     Qwillis chuckles lightly. "Well.. I was gone for longer than intended. It was suppose to be a month. Turned into two years. I guess they thought it was abandon and took it over. When I tried to take it back.. they refused." He'd shrug, then look at the chest piece. "I had to replace my arm and leg.. and well.. that took a while. How much will this be?"
Carter Griffin The Ranger looks at the chest peice for a minute, and then waves his hand, "Take it. I took it off a Raider north of town anyway." He says, "Might wanna wash it a bit, there may still be a bit of him inside of it.." He brings his gloved hand up to the side of his head and makes a motion one might interpret as resembling an explosion.
Qwillis     Qwillis raises both brows, chuckles and nods, taking the chest piece. "I.. uhm.. thanks. I appreciate this. I'm Qwillis. I'm going to be setting up a fix-it shop here soon.. The Rangers have always been good to me.. so I'm more than happy to help out as I can. If you ever get anything you need fixed up, just let me know?"
Carter Griffin "Oh good." Carter says, "I mean my gear is getting banged up all the time." He says, "Plus I found this thing." He taps the Pip-Boy, "I've got a holodisk that'll fit it, I think, but I'm not really sure. You think you can do anything to install it, maybe?"
Qwillis     Qwillis grins at Carter with a small nod. "I actually have a 5000 I'm trying to fix up.. kind of a pet project. While I'm still learning about that stuff, I can certainly give it a try. I know enough that I shouldn't cause it to fail or anything."
Carter Griffin "Cool, it'll be good to have a techie in town." Carter replies, "I mean that isn't one of those crazy as hell Brotherhood of Steel dudes." He shakes his head, "Some of them can be okay, but boy when you run into the really zealous ones...Watch out."
Qwillis     Qwillis grins in reply. "I understand. I tend to avoid them actually. I saw them try to.. recruit.. someone." He'd shake his head slightly. "I don't want anything to do with that. I'm mostly able to do mechanic work for now. But I've been studying a lot and anything a Dweller will let me read about the old tech. So I got some ideas.." He'd lift that right hand to have it open and close. "How I made this.. my leg too. Even after all my stuff got blown up. So.. now that I'm here in a bigger town? It should be easier."
Carter Griffin "Sounds like a winner to me." Carter says, "Hey, if you need any help with setting up, or recovering stuff from the wasteland, let me know." He replies, "I Sort of tend to do a lot of freelance work around here. Carter Griffin." He offers his hand to shake the mechanical one, and then starts to pack up his table.
Qwillis     Qwillis smiles and shakes Carter's hand, metal grip firm but surprisingly well controlled. There are thin wires along the digits that seem to replicate what tendons do, under simple metal plates to make sure they don't get caught on anything. "Absolutely.. I plan to search for tech and resources. I have my plans I want to work on.. and get to the point of maybe even creating my own robots." He'd step back with a nod. "I'll see you around, Carter Griffin."
