Kurokumo Mibojin      It's been over a week since the fateful night of the grotesque monster, and Kurokumo can't seem to fully treat the slash across her back since one of the Centaurs blinsided her. She decided to knock on Iris' office door, in the hopes that she can help reach those hard to reach spaces. Should have done it sooner, really.
Iris Lark Iris is standing by the exam table when the knock came and she turns towards the door. "Come in!" She calls, her own arm across her abdomen.
Kurokumo Mibojin      Coming into the room, Kurokumo moves a bit stiffly before taking in Iris. "Damn, they got you too?" It seems that this pair of healers get into more trouble than they're worth. "Centuar got me across the back, icky fuckers."
Iris Lark "If you treat me, I'll treat you." Iris says, her lips twitching to form a grin. She gestures towards the exam bed and quirks a brow. "Probably best for both of us, if we treat ourselves we won't get all of it."
Kurokumo Mibojin      "Tell me about it." As much as Kurokumo loves her doting husband, he doesn't have the training he needs for such endeavors. Alas. the Asian woman walks over to Iris, before settling upon the mattress. Her shirt gets hiked up a bit, the swell of infection showing along the wound.
Iris Lark Iris frowns and moves to get to the cupboard to get something to treat the infection. As she works on Kurokumo, she seems a bit far away and withdrawn. She still manages to get the wound treated in little time, cleaning and stitching (it doesn't take too many stitches) smoothing salve and then dressing it. "We really should stay home when this kind of stuff is going on. I tell myself that every time, and ..well.."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Twisting her torso so Iris can get the best angle, Kurokumo winces as needle pierces flesh. "I'd rather be there to help pick up the pieces than be told I lost someone on the way back." It's a quiet statement, but heavy, and full of meaning. Her expression is still a bit solemn, as she begins to attend to Iris along her abdomen.
Iris Lark "Yeah, pretty much why I go too." Iris replies, lifting her shirt a bit so it's not hard to get at the bullet wounds. "If I was here, and they came back and said someone died and I could have saved them? I would be destroyed."
Kurokumo Mibojin      Kurokumo nods, remembering the night where Ashur was crushed under so much metal. Her hands work diligently, tongs pulling out hidden fragments, stitching, and sewing, all under the weight of future worry. "That's why we go." Is her simple reply.
