Owner Pose
Lucette     Luce had decided to do a little recon on Roswell before she committed to making a posse to help clear that neighbourhood. Right now things are seeming to look like an actual place, there's people here- although ghouls for the most part. She's definately a smoothskin, which sets her apart from the usual crowd.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya comes from the direction of the Abandoned Neighborhood with her rifle slung over her shoulder and a rag wrapped over her head like some kind of makeshift cowl. She leans on her staff and stops to drink from a canteen belted over one shoulder and around her midsection.
Lucette     Someone's actually coming from the direction of the neighbourhood, earning a curious look from Luce and an approach. With a wave of greeting, too. "Hey!" she calls out. "Scouting the 'hood?!"
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya raises a hand to shield her eyes from the sun and see you better. "I am. It is overrun by the forsaken. There are scores of them."
Lucette     Lucette nods in reply to Shreya's statement. "Kind of assumed that. More just wanting to know the layout. I don't have a building plan for the area, was going to scout it myself and bring in the boys to clear a few houses if it wasn't a suicide mission."
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya frowns, clearly not excited to know others are eyeing what she imagined would be a home for her church. "Who are the boys?"
Lucette     Lucette nods. "I'm with the New Mexico Brotherhood of Steel. Not like the regular Brotherhood, mind. These guys have some genuine interest in protecting and bettering New Mexico." she answers. "I wanted to clear one of the houses for use as a forward outpost, so they can mobilize easier to other nearby settlements to help. And I wanted a house for myself to make my trips between El Dorado and settlements off the highways from here more comfortable."
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya frowns. "Well you didnt say Raiders. But the Brotherhood from where I come from, they kill ghouls, feral or not. Is that the plan then, to purge this town of all of them, reasoning or no?"
Lucette     Lucette shakes her head. "Non-ferals are good for making sure this place is secure and real. Killing all the ghouls indiscriminately is as bad as burning the whole place to the ground. It defeats the entire purpose of clearing those houses ahead for a base." she says, "Can't say you're protecting people if you kill those people off just for bein' different. Ferals don't know anything but killing to survive, can't know anything but killing. It's like putting down a sick animal to prevent suffering." she answers.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya nods slowly. "And so what are you intending to pay me for putting in twice as much work and risk for you as you would be for me? I have no burning desire to see my intended settlement over run by another group and I gain little by helping you personally. One for one. If I help you clear must reciprocate. A question though, you mentioned a forward operating base. Does that mean it would be temporary?"
Lucette     Lucette shakes her head again. "I plan on bringing my crew in to clear a house regardless on if you assist with it or not. One house taken for a resident and another for an allied faction that will help provide security does not sound like being overrun by another group." she explains. "If you want the entire settlement for yourself I'll call the ops off and let you have it, in its entirety, for you and yours to clear."
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya thinks. "Well. I do. That has been my plan for the last month. Id hired a mercenary but she mixed herself up in a murder case. If you would answer my question, we might be able to agree on some arrangement. You are so quick to back down. Does the brotherhood even know about this place yet. To remind you... I wanted to know if you would all be moving on to Dunwich or your intended target as it seems you dont mean to put down roots here. What do you know of the Children of Atom?"
Lucette     Lucette nods, "Yes they know, I did an ops out here myself not too long ago underground. My superior officer, Caldwell, said for me to take charge on clearing out a house here and make a posse. I'm not sure what plans he might have after we clear a house, but it will be to facilitate mobilizing north and west I'm certain." then.

"My father told me the Children of Atom are a cult that worships an entity called Atom, subject themselves and some others to large doses of radiation, usually hostile and should be killed on sight." she explains. "It's obvious that I don't take all of his instruction and advice to heart." a small sigh. "Look, you want the place, have it. I'll just report it's an impossible task for our numbers and look for somewhere else." Lucette states with a nod of her head.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya nods slowly. " you not think that is precisely what your Brotherhood of Steel will do when they find us here. We are not usually hostile and we do not subject others to the Sacrament of Atom, the lord of the Glow goes where he will. I do not wish to be at war with your friends but it sounds like they will be at war with me. I want this place for my people. I was going to suggest I help you if the brotherhood would just stay awhile and move on but, it sounds like they would slaughter us in ignorance."
Lucette     Lucette explains, "My current company and my father's faction are wholly seperate, at war with one another even." she states. "I'm sure the New Mexico Brotherhood will have no problems with your Children of Atom sharing the space. The reason I'm pulling away is because you want this area to your faction, where I cannot promise that the forward outpost will be temporary. And the building I'd use for myself the same. As not to conflict your interest and waste resources of my people that could be better used to help more people without saturation, I will leave you to claim this space with your own."
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya sighs. "I thankyou for your understanding. I would teach you of us if you had time to listen. But perhaps not today. Right now I am in need of a warm bed and a hot meal. The forsaken will not cook for me but they would have me to dinner." She chuckles. "Atoms blessings be upon you that you should tell those Brotherhood men it is uninhabitable. How shall I repay?"
Lucette     Luce smiles. "Haven't dealt with ferals much, but I would agree with you on that dinner thing." then, more seriously.

"I won't lie to my allies, I will tell them that I disadvise intervening in your efforts unless it is to help you and your people, to expect no compensation if we join in and inform them your people are dangerous if crossed." she answers. "As for payment, remember that any enclave you come into contact with in the wasteland are suffering from broken and false leadership, and not to loathe them. Defend yourself but do not aggress unless necessary- and also to avoid Albuquerque at all costs."
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya shakes her head. "Just tell them the truth. The houses are infested with irradiated ferals and not worth the effort. The Children of Atom are not going to inspire fear in the Brotherhood of Steel, you will just motivate them to crush us with force."
Lucette     Lucette blinks. "I already said I wouldn't lie to them, that is the truth. They are aware the houses are infested and it will be difficult to claim one for the posting. Let alone the second for my personal use." she states.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya frowns. "Are there any structures out in the white sand. It is there that my visions come from. Have you seen any?"
Lucette     Lucette pauses. "I'm afraid I can't answer your question honestly." she states, "The term white sand has no meaning to me."
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya nods. "Let me wander toward where Atom guides me. If I find it, I will help you and we shall not have any need of Roswell."
