Rose      It had just been a rumor, a request that had come Rose's way as she was passing by. A caravan running a few simple goods from further north down into Acme and eventually El Dorado hadn't been in and was running a few days late. One of the hands happened to have a father whom had been a little concerned and made contact with the woman, who'd agreed to go and check it out in her travels. Promise of a reward beyond gratitude was sorely lacking, but that didn't really bother the blonde as she made her way through the dunes, her helmet protecting her features from the weather and her rifle held in her right hand, balanced and ready to be lifted. This was the sort of thing she'd usually do alone, since few would move without promise of money, but that didn't have to be the case today.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya hiked along beside Rose. Though she had a passing curiousity over the disappeared caravan, the only reason she was along was because he didnt want Rose to "go and get yourself killed," as she put it. Her rifle is slung over her back and her feet are covered with dust from the road. "If everyone is dead we are going to scavenge the caravan. I hate to be pragmatic but the dead don't need things. We do."

Rose Rose had already pointed out that she'd walked through many a danger here and there before this missing caravan, it was part of being a Ranger after all, but if Shreya was going to be offering some extra eyes? Well she'd let her. She'd simply countered with a point that the other woman wasn't allowed to go exchanging her life for Rose's either. A nod at the other woman's words, the Ranger frowns a little. "We'll see, the stuff was ment for the town after all. It may very well still be needed by the living."
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya frowns. "If they needed it so badly they would be out here doing what you do, but I suppose this is just what it means to be an NCR Ranger. I am hesitant to help those who are unwilling to also help themselves."
Rose      Soon enough, eyes would come upon the caravan...and the sight was one likely feared. The caravan itself was unhitched, but before it the corpse of a Brahmin lays, its body already gnawed away at. The source of such animal feasting? A pair of feral ghouls currently rest against it, ripping and tearing at the flesh of the mutated bovine. A few scattered bedrolls lay about, equally damaged or hastily thrown open, but there was no missing at least two of the bodies that lay in the open, equally eaten by the wasteland's creatures.

Thanks to the mask? Rose's expression wasn't easily read, but the woman sighs as she hoists that customized lever action rifle, taking aim at one of the creatures, seemingly the only threat lingering.
Zealot Shreya Zealot Shreya takes a knee and aims in with her sniper rifle as well. "The forsaken have abandoned their immortality in pursuit of gluttony, defying the will of Atom who gives them a last chance at salvation. They can be killed without quarter. It is a mercy." She closes one eye and aims in.
