Iris Lark     Iris makes her way back to the camp from where she was speaking with Manny, Sparrow and Qwillis. Sparrow had mentoned a triage area and when Iris looked around, sure enough, she found it. She beings to unload her supplies, bandages, chems and some clean water and she waits to see if anyone shows up, needing medical attention.
Jude Backpack stuffed to the gills, Jude trudges to the triage area. He was sent out with a couple militia recruits earlier to check out a service station in the local vicinity. While he might have technically been successful, he's coming back bloody from yet another head wound. The left side of his face is streaked with an attractive combination of oil, blood, and aromatic Mexican dirt. "Howdy, Iris," he tries to chirp, but it is strained as the man is hurting pretty bad.
Iris Lark     Iris spots Jude and she walks over to him, standing on her toes to look at the head wound. "So ..what happened here?" She asks, quirking a brow at him as she grins slowly. "C'mon with me.." She murmurs, taking him by the hand and leading him to a blanket where she pushes him to sit. "Had a successful outing hmm?"
Jude Jude laughs and musters a sheepish grin. "I took some of the boys on out to check out a service station. Lookin' for fuel." He makes a sour face. "Some damn ferals was holed up. One picked up a damn rock and chunked it at me. Ain't never seen no ghoul chunk a rock, so I really wasn't expectin' it." He smiles and shakes his head. "I need to wear an actual helmet afore I get hurt real bad." He takes off said hat and puts it to the side. He has a seat so he can be examined, continuing, "We did find a pile of fusion cells. Sort of a small price to pay I reckon."
Iris Lark     "I'm going to make a request that I normally wouldn't make." Iris says, as she cleans Jude's head wound. She pulls out a little flash and sighs softly. "This is going to the by." She uncorks the flask and pours a little of the liquid on his head. Smells like it might be whiskey, and boy does it burn. "I would really like it if you were more careful with yourself, mostly because I'm getting kind of attached to you." She chuckles and makes a soft hmming noise. "You won't need stitches, but it's a near thing."
Jude Jude sighs and nods. "Trust me, I'm tryin' to be careful. When we get back to El Dorado, I'll cool it down some. Focus on that there wall." He grips the cot and white knuckles it as the fluid is splashed. Through grit teeth, he grates out, "Ain't been findin' nothin' but junk anyways." He breathes heavily after the sting goes down some. He gazes up at Iris and gives a smile. "I'm gettin' mighty attached to you too."
Iris Lark     Iris blushes and she picks up a bandage and gently presses it against the wound as she leans in and gathers Jude in for a hug. "I'll help you with that wall, we'll be boring and build things for a while, okay?" She clenches her teeth and tries to sound lighthearted. "We're going to make it back home, I won't take anything else as an option."
Jude Jude rises and wraps Iris in his arms. He holds her tight and whispers, "We'll make it back, darlin'." He leans back a little and promises, "I'll be damned if'n I end up dead and smellin' like -this-. At -least- one more shower." He winks and then sobers some. "Seriously," he says with nothing but conviction, "We'll survive this."
Iris Lark     Iris gets pulled into an embrace and she nods as he speaks but when the shower is mentioned she lets out a burble of laughter and kisses Jude on the cheek. "Well if we're to survive it, no more falling and hitting your head. You're needed hale and whole." She allows herself a brief glance and she holds up a bandaged arm. "I should practice what I preach."
Jude Jude laughs and nods. "I didn't -fall- on my head this time. That ghoul -threw- a rock at me." He gives a little pout. "These Mexican ferals are way more clever than the ones in New Mexico." He gives her a last squeeze and nods with a sigh. "I'll be more careful though. Promise."
Iris Lark     "I'm still stuck on the cliff thing." Iris says, chuckling softly. "There is a merchant here, do you need any ammo?" She asks, tilting her head up to gaze at Jude as she steps back. "It never hurts to have any extra."
Jude Jude moves over to the water and starts to clean himself up a little so he doesn't look like a horror movie. "I'm alright. Still have about twenty spare SECs and my pistol is nearly full. It holds forty." He rinses a cloth, getting the blood, grease and grit out of it before washing the rest of his face. He bites his lower lip as he turns and whispers to Iris, "If you hear of anyone actually -needing- MFCs, lemme know. I have... umm... over sixty now."
Iris Lark     "I know the Vaultmobile needs some, if we can manage to get her repaired." Iris says, a pained look on her face. "Twenty isn't enough, I've got double that." She frowns and shifts on her feet. "Well, if you need them at least, I know I've got them, no sense spending caps when we need to keep them."
Jude Jude laughs and nods, trying to fix his hair a little. "I can't even imagine needin' more'n sixty shots. Even with as bad a shot as I am." He laughs a little and shrugs. "I think between the two of us, we should be alright." He sighs and pinches his nose. "Yeah. I should give some to the Vaultmobile. I should help Eden fix it on up too. I bet that's gonna take about all the resources I can spare. Car repairs ain't cheap."
Iris Lark     "Lets go see what's happening, in any case." Iris murmurs, taking Jude by the hand and pulling him towards the center of camp. "Maybe we can get you a poncho, and draw a mustache on you." She grins and giggles softly. "I'll put in for some of the repairs as well."
Jude Jude laughs and bobs his head, following Iris easily as they head out to see what folks are up to.
